The Knickerbocker is a very cool building with some interesting architecture. The rooms can feel dated but they do advertise that and truthfully it's part of the charm. My room was very quite which is a plus. The location is perfect if you like to walk to great parks, Brady St. & downtown.
Very nice two nights in the Knickerbocker. Walking distance to most of what I wanted to do in the city. Will stay again next time I'm in Milwaukee.
I stayed here 2 times now and really like it. Its an older hotel and still has that feel when inside. It's very clean and the rooms are pretty big. They are apartments, so some have a full kitchen or a kitchenette. Close to the lake and downtown businesses. A great location to be on foot. Lots to walk and see. The Knicks restaurant is really good and is attached to the hotel. There is also a spa which is very posh and nice. I recommend for a hotel off the chain.
Our room was light and airy. Well utilized for a small square footage. Would be excellent for a long term stay with full kitchenette and desk nook. We were only there one night. Picked it because of the name and location. Parking in their lot is a nightmare. Would be better off parking in the street. 18 bucks for the parking pass, one entrance that is also the exit.. if someone is coming out you have to circle the block as to not hold up traffic waiting. Staff seem unhappy and begrudgingly helpful. We were generic check in, figure out where room and vending is, check out type guests. Loved the historic building though.
Great location and very nice interior -- rooms are a little plain but have nice kitchenettes. Really a great place to stay for the price!
