I travel almost every week for business, and stay in a lot of hotels. The DoubleTree Milwaukee Downtown is THE Best! I don't know if the manager is a genius at hiring people or is brilliant at training and motivation, but the entire staff here is FANTASTIC!
Room was immaculate. Everything looked so fresh & clean. Safe in room was a bonus. Breakfast buffet is so good. Staff was friendly & helpful. Definitely recommend staying here.
Parking is 20 dollars. Rip off. Be aware.
From our welcome with delicious warm cookies during the check-in process, the wonderful valets who wrangled our vehicle during our stay, the fabulous restaurant staff who provided us with tasty meals that were beautifully presented, and the hotel staff who saw to our every need, our stay was perfect! Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. The bed and crisp linens were delightful! This is our favorite place to stay when in Milwaukee!
In addition, the restaurant has a great staff and really good food (try the Chili).
Spotted cow is 2 dollars per beer more here than just down the road.
Just stayed here again, three years later the service is still 5 Star!
The DoubleTree Hilton in downtown Milwaukee was an absolutely wonderful place to host our wedding reception, with excellent service all around. Angela was always on top of things, quick to answer questions and great with follow-up. We appreciated her attention to detail and how gracious she was with her time. She was friendly, personable, and professional, and did a fantastic job coordinating a bunch of small but crucial details, including working closely with several vendors. The ballroom space worked perfectly for our 95 person guest count, and all of the staff were attentive and helpful. Angela and her staff were able to accommodate not only multiple dietary requests but also a special health situation—the groom has multiple sclerosis (MS) and is sensitive to temperature variation—which made it important to keep the room on the cooler side. We found the catering minimum to be reasonable compared to other downtown venues, and it was awesome to have a complimentary room that night and complimentary breakfast the next morning. Amidst the stress of wedding planning it was a real relief to know that the reception preparation was in such good hands, and thanks to Angela, the event couldn’t have gone any more smoothly. We received many compliments on our venue choice and how beautiful the space was, and highly recommend that any engaged couple keep it in mind when planning their wedding reception.
Good hotel. Though they lost my credit card somewhere. My favorite part about it is that the bathrooms have doors you can lock. Nothing worse than a hotel where your wife can walk in on you while you're taking a dump, so it was nice to not have to worry about that.
