Got a really great rate due to the renovation, pool is back up and running. While there has been some noise from renovation, haven't heard it anytime before 10am or after 8pm so didn't interrupt any sleep. Room was mostly clean and comfy. Found a dead spider, but looked quite recent so honestly might have crawled in after the cleaning crew but before I checked in, this time of year is usually pretty bad for outdoor bugs trying to get indoors and it was right near the window. Restaurant is currently closed. Overall nice place despite renovations, but will probably be VERY nice once complete, the room we are in hasn't been renovated yet so it's a little rundown but it's clean and has a jetted tub that works so no complaints given the great rate.
Still under construction, but everyone was very nice and helpful . New rooms are kind of minimalistic but nice. No refrigerators. The beds and pillows are very nice. We were told the hotel will be a 4 Points - Sheraton after the remodel is done. Best airport parking deal around.
Room was nice and clean and beds comfortable, but that's all I can say about it that is good. The place where you would have the mini refrigerator was empty and we had taken stuff that needed to be kept cold. I assumed that all hotels have a mini fridge. The shower/bath has dispensers for conditioner, body wash and shampoo which is a good idea, except all were empty so we had none. The desk had told us when we checked in that there would be coffee in lobby early in morning - there was coffee but was from day before and cold. So no coffee!!!!!
When we returned to your hotel around 11pm, two of you female employees were getting in the the elevator we were, shoved us aside and practically fell into the elevator and we're acting irrational, possibly drunk or on drugs, hanging on one another-one girl looked as she could barely stand up. I didn't catch their name nor did my husband. This was the worst hotel experience as far as costumer service goes that I've ever dealt with. The room was fine actually nice but PLEASE PLEASE do something about the unprofessional, rude and untrained staff.
Check-in went fine. Renovated rooms are decent, though impossible to control the heat. A bit ridiculous to have to sleep with open windows in late December as the room would be 80 degrees otherwise (with the thermostat at 60). Bathrooms need more work, for example the laminate counter is sloppily caulked, there is exposed pipe work, and the toilet seat doesn't stay up. No fridge. Decent enough restaurant with good service. Overall okay, but other hotel chains have much higher standards for similar prices.
By far the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. The "front desk customer service" representative Dominique was the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever come across when checking out Sunday September 24th at 9am. The hotel has signs everywhere for a restaurant and where to go, mind you paper signs that can be taken down, but with no restaurant. There was no pool, no coffee and rude concierge. While I was questioning at checkout why there were no amenities available and we still paid full price. I understand a place needs to go through renovations but I was not made aware when I booked through an agent. I suppose I should have checked out the website but when booking through an agent that info should be readily available as well. When we arrived we were greeting poorly, no one mentioned the renovation, no one smiled or directed us. Back to Dominique, when I expressed my concerns he said nothing to me but instead turned his back and said "oh Sunday's Sunday's Sunday's" gave me my receipt and said NOTHING! No have a good day or sorry for any inconvenience. Rude and had a smart mouth. I will never stay here again, seeing that we will be visiting Milwaukee frequently, our business will not return. Please train your staff to be informed and curious, he has no customer service skills, he'd be better off NOT working with people. He alone will upset enough people off to not want to return. I spent $138 and was shown zero respect or gratitude as a guest of your hotel. I wanted to pass this information on as I hope you all can better your staff and take down false information. Like I mentioned paper signs were everywhere for a restaurant and left us on a wild goose chase throughout hotel while we were on a time restraint and could have just went elsewhere to eat. There was even an employee that directed us to the Concourse Room!!!! We opened it, which I'm sure the door should have been locked since it was under construction, and no restaurant.
