Classic Webb's. Great bacon and egg burger, chocolate chip pancakes, sunny side up eggs. The grilled chicken on my salad was slightly caramelized--a nice touch. Decaf coffee so black you could stand a spoon up in it. Clean place. Brightly lit. Courteous waitress. Parking lot right next to restaurant is $1 per hour/$15 per day. The only thing that made me uncomfortable about the location was getting approached by men in the parking lot asking for money. Three different men asked for money--$2 "for the bus;" $5 to "help a poor homeless man out." One time, four other men like them stood around nearby while just one of them asked. I literally feared possible ambush.
So of the four other people there when I was there: homeless blind man who had been given money for food, 2nd homeless guy trying to stay warm between attempts to hustle money from people who were passing by, 3rd homeless man who sat in the booth behind me and ordered "just coffee " and was told by the waitresses that he didn't have enough money to pay (when I offered to make up the difference, he hit me up for a whole meal ... nicely played), and a man who came in to pick up an order he called in. Wow!! I've walked by this place twice before and was hit up for change both times. It was literally the ONLY place open on Christmas downtown Milwaukee, and I didn't want to drive to the suburbs. The burger... not made as described,... If you go, bring an extra $20 or so to feed the homeless!
This place is open 24 hours and has a Dennys style menu and the service is a bit slow. But the food is good for the price
I really like this place! It's pretty much what you'd expect from a waffle house style diner. Pretty good food for a pretty decent price.
The food here is average at best, would of rather spent half the price eating fast food. Your side must be fries, for example you cannot ask for a burger with cheese curds. Got the food quick, however it took forever to pay because our server was in back checking his phone instead of tending to the customers
