Great Vets and techs but a little pricey. They’ve always taken care of us though.
Convenient location, friendly staff, easy to schedule an appointment but some fees ended up being different from what was quoted over the phone. Some significantly more expensive than any other vets we've used in the past, i.e. $25 for toe nail clipping for a small, calm terrier makes it an easy decision to go back to my previous (Much more affordable) vet.
Priorities are money over well being of your animal. Technicians and doctors not aligned. We brought our pup to the vet after adopting her from the Humane society. The Humane society thought our dog was about 7-8 months old. For our heartworm medication, our vet told us we need an annual check up. When I went in to get more heartworm medication 5 months later, they told us we needed to bring her in for more tests given she was a year old. The technician was lousy and did not really care for what I had to say, which was consistent with what the doctor said. Once of them misspoke, and my guess it is was not the doctor. Very frustrating they would put my dog's well being second to making money.
Update: I called back the next day and got more clarity to the situation. The customer service manager promptly responded and helped with the situation - quite a relief!
Very personable, got an appointment in the day after I called, treated my pug/jack Russel and myself/boyfriend with respect, very knowledgeable, and best of all they did not push anything on us above and beyond what was needed for my dog's urinary track infection. Responsibly priced. They do offer care credit as well.
I have to say that this is the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. The staff is very polite to you and your furry family member. A special thank you to Corey and Dr. Eric for their patience and care towards or big pit bull mix. Would recommend Wauwatosa Veterinary Clinic to anyone!
