My son and I went to see a movie here and had a big issue with people behind us kicking our seats and a 3 yr old screaming because she could have candy and throwing popcorn at us. I went to management for the to handel it and we were the ones who had to leave because they did nothing. What is a 3yr old doing at a late night movie if the have no respect. The parents were no better their explaination was it wasn't their daughters fault because she is an an angel. More like the devil incarnate. Grrr horrible conflict resolution and customer service.
It's not the most modern theater, but it is clean. Sound and picture quality were fine, and they have the nice plush seats like most of the newer Marcus Theaters. Employee-wise, it was basically a ghost town. I'd imagine it's the easiest theater to hop from movie to movie, because in lieu of a ticket-checker they just had a sign that said "keep your ticket."
The reason it's a 3-star review for me is kind of beyond the control of the theater itself. This is a great place to see a movie if you want to hear all about the people around you. How their week is going, comments about the movie, what's the deal are their friends going to hook up or not, that stuff. People were even taking phone calls in the middle of the showing.
It's not just kids, either ("Those dang kids!" the old man yelled, shaking his fist at a cloud), but full grown adults who just don't care.
If those things don't bother you, or you consider it "part of the experience," then, cool, you've found your theater. If not, it's not a very long drive to another cinema somewhere in the city.
This place is NASTY! This week me and 2 other people from the movie theater had gotten bitten by BED BUGS! This place is disgusting. I would never in my life go to the location. South gate needs a better cleaning service. This is out right disgusting!! I have bites all over my body. Extremely upset that this had happen.
Huh. All but one film showing, which only showed at 9:30AM, will not accept the 'silver tickets' I got as a Christmas present. If you're not even going to try, then I'll just toss those silver tickets in the garbage where they belong and visit a real movie chain.

I went here to catch a movie and it was a terrible experience. The popcorn had to have been at least three or four days old it was stale. Obviously the prices are terribly high and the theatre smelt like a dirty wet sock. You're better off hitting up Showbox app on your phone and watching at home.
