Great selection of bourbon and craft beer. Just picked up a bottle of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and a sixer of Three Floyd's Zombie Dust... Boom.
The owners and staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The wine buyer is truly an expert and always happy to take the time to listen and offer advice. The wine selection is extremely thoughtful and wide-ranging, as are the liquor and beer selections. Take the time to join the Wine Club, which offers opportunities to earn and convert points as well as regular updates on new arrivals and good buys.
Since my first experience with Downer Wine & spirits, I've had the chance to visit on a couple other occasions and have found the proprietor Steve to be a solid bet for a good conversation and a fair price. On a side note, I stopped into a Total Wine recently and the difference in customer service hit me like a ton of bricks. All in all, I enjoy my time at Downer Wine and spirit and expect this to continue.
