Whenever people come into town or we want to be silly this is a great place to go. The lanes are slightly wonky but that's the charm of the place...its why we go that and it's got that game room. You want to see adults turn into children go here it's fun and it's underground so it's the PERFECT winter getaway haha!
I walked through the door and went downstairs only to be flooded with memories. Not being there for over 20 years, certain things have changed. Long ago, when smoking was allowed in bars, you had to wash your hair, clothes and virtually everything to rid yourself of the smell. It permeated everything.
I saw the smoke eaters on the ceilings that haven't been used in years. Tuesday night drink specials are still there, but have changed a little. My daughter was intrigued, surprised and loved the place that I spent much of my 20's in. It's still the place I remembered. Great for college students and young adults. Lots of activities and a great place to hang out. Only now it's smoke free and you don't need to cough up a lung anymore, which is a big plus.
Love the history of this bowling alley. It's old fashioned ball return and lanes help you to leave with memories and pictures. Don't recommend the bar though because of the poorly balanced mixed drinks served.
The video game section is a little nicer now, though don't be too suprised if there's broken machines or you don't get your tickets. There's a really decent pinball selection of you're into that.
Overall, I like Landmark lanes. It's pretty divey but it has a unique enough charm to make it worth visiting.
Sometimes it smells a little musty, but it is an underground bar. Prices are good and the staff does a great job, especially the bouncer. It's always the same guy and he's pretty awesome. But the best part is the amount of things to do here.
Prices on drinks and such are really reasonable.
