This is a nostalgic review. I'm so glad to see Outwards still here after many years. We used to come here regularly when I lived in Milwaukee to buy coffee, books, & rent genre videos. Next time I'm in town, I will make a point to visit.
It is a great bookstore. It also have coffee and a treats. However, the ownership is a bit rude, and not that many people go there, to my knowledge. I would rather go to the bookstore on Downer Ave just eight blocks away than go here. Yet, this bookstore does carry many LGBTQ Books, Cards, etc. so I am forced to go there yet I just wish that the owner was a bit more nice or he hired someone that was joyful.

Very nice, soda shop vibe. Seems like a quiet place to read and work. Went in hoping to find a new book, was... Surprised to say the least, at what I found instead.
